TOWN OF BISCOE

BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

AUGUST 8, 2005

The regular meeting of the Town of Biscoe Board of Commissioners was held on August 8, 2005 at 7:30 pm in the Municipal Building.

Present were: Mayor Jimmy Blake, Mayor Pro-Tem Larry Preslar, Commissioners Michael Criscoe, Richard Kissell, and Jerry Smith. Commissioner John Beard and Town Manager Joshua Ray were out of town.

Larry Preslar made the motion to accept the July 11, 2005 regular meeting minutes as written. Michael Criscoe seconded, and all voted in favor.

Jerry Smith made the motion to appoint Town Clerk, Lisa L. Cagle, as the Tax Collector for fiscal year 2005-2006. Richard Kissell seconded, and all voted in favor.

Larry Preslar made the motion to set the public hearing for the Sonic Drive-In annexation at the next regular meeting of the board on September 12, 2005. Michael Criscoe seconded, and all voted in favor.

Nancy Ruppert gave the quarterly Montgomery County Resource Team report.

Rick Kissell made the motion to go into closed session to discuss a personnel and land sale matter. Larry Preslar seconded, and all voted in favor. Closed Session began at 7:50pm.

Town Attorney Max Garner arrived for the Closed Session.

There being no action taken in closed session, Commissioner Michael Criscoe made the motion to return to open session at 8:32 pm. Larry Preslar seconded, and all voted in favor.

There being no further business to bring before the Board, Richard Kissell made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Jerry Smith seconded, and all voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 8:35pm.
