TOWN OF BISCOE

BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

JULY 11, 2005

The regular meeting of the Town of Biscoe Board of Commissioners was held on July 11, 2005 at 7:30 pm in the Municipal Building.

Present were: Mayor Jimmy Blake, Mayor Pro-Tem Larry Preslar, Commissioners Jerry Smith, Michael Criscoe, Richard Kissell, and Town Manager Joshua Ray. Commissioner John Beard was out of town.

Jerry Smith made the motion to accept the June 13, 2005 regular meeting minutes as written. Larry Preslar seconded and all voted in favor.

Larry Preslar made the motion to direct Town Clerk, Lisa Cagle, to investigate the sufficiency of the annexation request made by BBE, Inc for Sonic Drive-In Restaurant. Richard Kissell seconded and all voted in favor. The Sonic Drive –In will be in the Montgomery Crossing shopping center.

Michael Criscoe made the motion to approve Fire Chief Kelly Kellam for the Local Fireman Relief Fund Board. Jerry Smith seconded and all voted in favor.

Richard Kissell made the motion to approve the resolution adopting the new property and liability insurance program agreement with the North Carolina League of Municipalities. Larry Preslar seconded and all voted in favor.

Richard Kissell made the motion to approve the resolution adopting the new worker’s compensation insurance program agreement with the North Carolina League of Municipalities. Larry Preslar seconded and all voted in favor.

In other business, Delanda Horne spoke to the Board about her vocational rehabilitation program.

There being no further action to bring before the Board, Jerry Smith made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Michael Criscoe seconded and all voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm.
