TOWN OF BISCOE
Board of Commissioners Meeting
14 June 2004
The
regular meeting of the Town of Biscoe Board of Commissioners was held on June
14, 2004 at 7:30 pm in the Municipal Building.
Mayor
Jimmy Blake called the meeting to order at 7:30pm.
Present
were: Mayor Blake, Mayor Pro-Tem Larry Preslar, Commissioners Jerry Smith,
Michael Criscoe, and Town Manager Joshua Ray.
Larry
Preslar made the motion to accept the minutes as written from the May 10, 2004
meeting. Michael seconded, and all voted in favor.
Mayor
Blake presented plaques to Fire Chief Bobby Kellam and Asst. Fire Chief Kelly
Kellam on behalf of the Town of Biscoe for their dedication and volunteer work
in the community.
Larry
Preslar made the motion to grant the Industrial Park Dr. Conditional Use Permit.
Tom Dowd is planning a “Modern Day Salvage Yard”. The back portion of these 80
acres does not have water/sewer possibilities and a buffer will be in place
surrounding the entire property. All and any concerns presented during the
public hearing were addressed by the Commissioners. Jerry Smith seconded and
all voted in favor.
Jerry Smith made the motion to accept the 2004-2005
Fiscal Year Budget. Larry Preslar seconded, and all voted in favor.
Larry Preslar made the motion to pass the Mixed
District 24/27 Zoning issue. All and any concerns were publicly addressed by
the Commissioners. Michael Criscoe seconded, and all voted in favor. All
required buffers will be used.
Larry Preslar made the motion to grant Bobby Kellam’s
request for Sewer services at Clayola Drive. Michael Criscoe seconded, and all
voted in favor.
There being no further business to bring before the
Board, Jerry Smith made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Michael Criscoe
seconded, and all voted in favor.
Meeting adjourned at 8:25pm.
