TOWN OF BISCOE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING
FEBRUARY 12, 2007
The regular meeting of the Town of Biscoe Board of Commissioners was held on February 12, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the Municipal building.
Present were: Mayor Jimmy Blake, Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Criscoe, Commissioners John Beard, Jerry Smith, Jimmy Cagle and Gene Anderson.
John Beard made the motion to accept the minutes as written from the January 8, 2007 meeting. Michael Criscoe seconded and all voted in favor.
In discussion of County Animal Control Ordinance in Section 1, the decision was made to allow Don Clegg to have three horses and 2 cows on his property. John Beard’s suggestion of deleting fence height restriction in Section 3 was also accepted. John Beard made motion to accept and Jerry Smith seconded. Gene Anderson opposed. Mayor Blake will contact County Manager Lance Metzler about amendment to Ordinance.
Kelly Kellam addressed board about concerns of turning funds raised by fire department over to town. He was assured the present board would allow money to stay with fire department. Kelly thanked town for the meeting room expansion and extended invitation for fire meeting of February 19, 2007 at 7 pm for tour of expansion.
Mayor Blake will call Randy Billings for meeting on February 19, 2007 at 7:30 pm to discuss applicants for Town Manager position.
There being no further business to bring before the Board, Gene Anderson made the motion to adjourn. Jerry Smith made the second and all voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 8:08 pm.
