TOWN OF BISCOE

BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

JANUARY 8, 2007

The regular meeting of the Town of Biscoe Board of Commissioners was held on January 8, 2007 at 7:30 pm in the Municipal building.

Present were: Mayor Jimmy Blake, Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Criscoe, Commissioners John Beard, Jerry Smith, Jimmy Cagle and Gene Anderson. Town Manager Josh Ray was in attendance for his last meeting.

Jerry Smith made the motion to accept the minutes as written from the December 12, 2007 regular meeting. Jimmy Cagle seconded, and all voted in favor.

Michael Criscoe made the motion to table the Animal Control Ordinance until more information became available. John Beards seconded, and all voted in favor. The Commissioners requested resident input on the ordinance.

Michael Criscoe made the motion to accept the Subdivision request from CAS Investments. Gene Anderson made the second, and all voted in favor. CAS Investments own 4.50 acres located on Martin Rd. They are requesting these lots be subdivided into four lots for possible sell.

Gene Anderson made the motion to go into closed session to discuss a land sell. John Beard made the second and all voted in favor. Closed Session began at 7:45 pm.

John Beard made the motion to return to open meeting. Jerry Smith made the second and all voted in favor. Board returned to open meeting at 8:05 pm.

Jerry Smith made the motion to sell Kelly Kellam 3 acres of land, located on Sedberry Rd, for $3000 an acre. Michael Criscoe made the second and all voted in favor.

Mayor Blake announced a “Farewell Luncheon” to be held Wednesday January 17^th, at 12 noon at Blake’s Restaurant in Candor for Josh Ray.

There being no further business to bring before the Board, John Beard made the motion to adjourn. Michael Criscoe made the second and all voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
