TOWN OF BISCOE

BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING

MARCH 12, 2007

The regular meeting of the Town of Biscoe Board of Commissioners was held on March 12, 2007 at 7:30 in the Municipal Building.

Present were Mayor Jimmy Blake, Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Criscoe, Commissioners John Beard, Jimmy Cagle, Gene Anderson, and Jerry Smith

Gene Anderson made the motion to accept the minutes as written from the February 12, 2007 meeting and the special meeting of March 1, 2007. Michael Criscoe seconded and all voted in favor.

Jerry Smith made the motion to purchase the 2007 Ford Taurus from Montgomery Motors at a price of $13,000 for official town use. Jimmy Cagle seconded and all voted in favor.

Gene Anderson made the motion to table the timber rights decision concerning the 23 acres on Odessa drive until the new budget year. Jerry Smith seconded and all voted in favor.

Biscoe Masonic Lodge, 342 North Main Street, and Harold Vandeveer, 624 US 220 Alternate North, requested to be hooked to the town sewer at their expense. Jerry Smith made the motion to allow hook-up. John Beard seconded and all voted in favor.

Mayor Blake brought estimate of $4,600 for the meeting room renovation and paint for town managers’ office. John Beard made the motion to accept. Jerry Smith seconded with Gene Anderson opposed.

There being no further business to bring before the board John Beard made the motion to adjourn. Michael Criscoe seconded and all voted in favor. Meeting adjourned at 8:01 pm.
